Privacy

Last updated: September 19, 2026

Your privacy is important to us. It is our policy to respect your privacy and comply with applicable law regarding any personal information we may collect about you, including across our website, Refueled, our applications for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, our Mozilla Firefox extensions, our WordPress plugins, and other sites we own and operate.

This policy is written to align with Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines (including Guideline 5.1) and App Privacy Details, Mozilla’s Add-on Policies and Firefox extension permission rules, and WordPress.org plugin guidelines. Under Apple’s definition, data is collected only when it is transmitted off the device in a way that we or a third party can access it. Data that stays on your device, in your browser profile, or on your own WordPress site is not collected by us.

Use of our website and all of our products is entirely at your own risk.

Our Applications

Our applications for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, including SimplifiedHealth and our other Mac and iOS apps, are designed to be private by default and to work entirely offline.

  • We do not collect data through our apps. Information you enter, including health entries, mood scores, sleep records, notes, medication details, file names, and media you browse, is stored solely on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
  • App Store privacy labels. In App Store Connect we declare that our apps do not collect data. That label must match this policy. If an app’s practices ever change, we will update both the App Store privacy details and this page before the change ships.
  • No accounts, no cloud sync, no tracking. Our apps do not require registration, do not sync data to any server, and contain no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or third-party tracking SDKs. We do not access the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). We do not use App Tracking Transparency because we do not track users across apps or websites.
  • No third-party AI or off-device processing. App content is not sent to third-party AI services or any other processor.
  • On-device security. Where offered, app data can be protected with a PIN and Face ID or Touch ID. Sensitive content is encrypted on your device using Apple’s built-in encryption. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by the operating system. We never receive or store biometric information.
  • Device permissions. Our apps may request access only for features you choose to use, such as the microphone and speech recognition (voice dictation), Face ID or Touch ID (unlocking), notifications (reminders you set), and local photo or file access (browsing or editing files already on your device). These permissions are processed on your device. You can revoke them at any time in system settings. Accessing files or photos on the device is not collection under Apple’s rules unless that data leaves the device.
  • Health data. Health-related information you record in SimplifiedHealth is consumer health data that remains on your device. We do not receive it, store it, sell it, or share it. Our apps do not read Apple Health, HealthKit, or other health platforms unless a specific app later adds that feature and we disclose it here and in App Store Connect first.
  • Data deletion. Because your data exists only on your device, you can permanently delete it by deleting the data in the app or removing the app from your device. There is no account for us to delete on a server.
  • Purchases. Purchases and downloads are processed by Apple through the App Store or Mac App Store under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your payment card details or Apple ID password. Apple may share limited, non-payment sales reports with us as the developer (for example unit counts). That information does not include your health data or in-app content.
  • Not medical advice. Our apps are personal record-keeping tools only and do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
  • Children. Our apps do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because they collect no personal information from the device.

Firefox Extensions

Our Firefox extensions are built as standard WebExtensions and are intended to follow Mozilla’s Add-on Policies, including honest disclosure of permissions and no unexpected data collection.

  • No collection by default. Extension settings and any data the extension stores stay in your Firefox profile on your device (for example storage.local or storage.sync if you enable Firefox Sync yourself). We do not operate a backend that receives your browsing data.
  • Permissions. Each extension requests only the permissions needed for its stated features. Those permissions are listed on the add-on listing and in Firefox’s installation prompt. You can review or remove the extension at any time in Firefox Settings.
  • No tracking SDKs. Our extensions do not include advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking libraries. They do not sell browsing history or page content.
  • Firefox Sync and Mozilla services. If you use Firefox Accounts or Sync, Mozilla may store data you choose to sync under Mozilla’s privacy policy and Firefox Terms of Use. That is Mozilla’s service, not ours. We do not receive a copy of synced data from Mozilla.
  • Add-on listings. Distribution through addons.mozilla.org is subject to Mozilla’s Add-on Policies and listing terms. Mozilla may review, reject, or remove listings. We do not control Mozilla’s review process.
  • Uninstall and deletion. Removing the extension from Firefox deletes its local data, subject to how Firefox manages profiles and any copies you made yourself.

WordPress Plugins

Our WordPress plugins are licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL), as required for plugins distributed for WordPress. You receive the plugin as software that runs on your own site. We do not host your WordPress site or its database unless you separately hire us for that work.

  • Data stays on your site. Content, settings, logs, and user data created by a plugin live in your WordPress database and file system, on hosting you control. We do not receive that data automatically.
  • No phoning home. Unless a specific plugin’s readme or settings screen says otherwise, our plugins do not send site content, user lists, or analytics to Refueled. If a future plugin needs a remote feature, we will disclose it in the plugin readme, the settings screen, and this policy before release.
  • WordPress.org and GPL. Plugins offered through WordPress.org must remain GPL-compatible. The WordPress trademarks and wordpress.org are owned by the WordPress Foundation and related parties. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Automattic or the WordPress Foundation except as a publisher of GPL software for WordPress.
  • Your site, your responsibility. You are responsible for backups, updates, hosting security, compatible PHP and WordPress versions, and third-party plugins or themes you install alongside ours. Installing, configuring, or leaving a plugin outdated is at your own risk.
  • Support contact. If you email us for support, the information you send (site URL, error logs, screenshots) is treated as website contact data under the sections below. Send only what you are willing to share.

The remainder of this policy describes information practices relating to our website and other online services, not data that remains in our apps, extensions, or plugins on systems you control.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We will comply with applicable law in the event of a data breach, including notifying affected users when required.

You are responsible for the strength of any password you choose and for the security of information you control, including your WordPress site, hosting account, Firefox profile, and devices.

How Long We Keep Your Personal Information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. When it is no longer required, we delete it or anonymize it by removing details that identify you.

International Transfers of Personal Information

Personal information we collect on the website may be stored or processed where we or our service providers maintain facilities. Those locations may not have the same data protection laws as your country. If we transfer personal information to third parties in other countries, we will do so in accordance with applicable law and protect it in accordance with this policy.

Your Rights and Controlling Your Personal Information

You may withhold personal information from us, with the understanding that parts of the website may be affected. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you provide personal information, we will handle it as described here. You may request details of any personal information we hold about you.

If we receive personal information about you from a third party, we will protect it as set out in this policy. If you provide personal information about someone else, you represent that you have that person’s consent to do so.

If you previously agreed to marketing messages, you may unsubscribe or opt out at any time. We may need to request information to confirm your identity before fulfilling a request.

If you believe information we hold is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, contact us. We will take reasonable steps to correct it.

If you believe we have breached a data protection law, contact us with the details. We will investigate and respond in writing. You may also contact a regulatory body or data protection authority.

Use of Cookies

We may use cookies to understand how you use the website and to remember preferences you set. A cookie is a small piece of data stored on your computer and read when you return. Our applications, Firefox extensions, and WordPress plugins do not set cookies on our behalf on your site or device, except any cookies your own WordPress install already uses as part of WordPress core.

Limits of Our Policy

Our website may link to external sites we do not operate. We have no control over those sites’ content or policies and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Apple’s handling of App Store accounts, payments, and downloads is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. Mozilla’s handling of Firefox, Firefox Accounts, Sync, and addons.mozilla.org is governed by Mozilla’s privacy policy and add-on terms. WordPress.org, plugin directory listings, and WordPress trademarks are governed by the policies of the WordPress Foundation and related operators. We are not responsible for those platforms.

Changes to This Policy

We may change this privacy policy to reflect updates to our practices, accepted standards, or the law. If we change it, we will post the updated version at this same URL with a new “Last updated” date.

If required by law, we will obtain your permission or give you the chance to opt in or opt out of new uses of your personal information.

If an app, extension, or plugin’s data practices change, we will update this policy and, where required, the matching store listing (App Store privacy details, Mozilla add-on listing, or WordPress.org readme) so they stay consistent.

Limitation of Liability

You expressly understand and agree that:

  • With regard to the content, products, and services available through this site and our applications, Firefox extensions, and WordPress plugins: in no event shall Refueled or its owners, officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, or any third parties providing information or products on this site be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, site downtime, or other intangible losses (even if Refueled has been advised of the possibility of such damages).
  • Refueled is not responsible for, and assumes no liability whatsoever for, any third-party applications, extensions, plugins, themes, hosting providers, or platforms, including their functionality, compatibility, security, updates, support, or any issues arising from their use.

Our applications, Firefox extensions, and WordPress plugins are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law. GPL licensing of WordPress plugins does not create a warranty. Refueled is not responsible for any loss of data stored in our products, any decisions made based on information recorded in them, site or browser breakage, or any damages arising from their use or inability to use them. Health-related applications are record-keeping tools only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

You agree that you are accessing this website and using our applications, extensions, and plugins entirely at your own risk.
